New Features in the 2024 Ford Bronco Sport

The 2024 Ford Bronco Sport continues to deliver a sporty and comfortable alternative to the rugged, off-road Ford Bronco. Lovingly referred to as the Baby Bronco, the 2024 models have subtle changes to the trim levels with a new colorful retro Free Wheeling option. Drivers will still see an innovative collection of infotainment and safety features along with a roomy interior with seating for five and standard all-wheel drive.

The Retro Free Wheeling & Entry-Level Trim Options

The newest addition to the 2024 Bronco Sport lineup is the Free Wheeling trim. This colorful trim is based on a popular 1970s model. The new Free Wheeling trim includes 17-inch wheels with red accents, a flashy, silver-painted front grille, and sunset-colored stripes on the side body. The Ford Bronco Sport interior in the Free Wheeling trim has sunset stripes on the seat backs, special badging on the center console, and red interior accents.

The other big change for 2024 involves the base model. The 2023 Ford Bronco Sport had a “Base” trim, but that is gone for 2024. Ford Motor Company now offers the Big Bend as the entry-level choice. The base Big Bend model is now available with a Black Appearance package with a blacked-out grille, matte black exterior trim, and 17-inch blacked-out wheels.

The Bronco Sport Badlands continues to be the top trim, and it still comes with the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine with 250 horsepower. It also has enhanced, off-road-ready all-wheel drive, all-terrain tires, a lifted suspension, and upgraded dampers for fun on dirt trails. Drivers can choose more Ford Bronco Sport accessories for even more off-road capability.

Standard Features in the 2024 Bronco Sport Compact SUV

Ford outfits the Bronco Sport with plenty of comfortable and high-tech features. The Big Bend models feature the safari-style roof, cloth upholstery, front seats with manual adjustability, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and several USB ports.

Shoppers can add power-adjustable and heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a wireless device charging pad. Ford includes standard driver-assistance features like Forward Collision Warning, Forward Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane-Departure Warning, Lane-Keep Assist, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Automatic High-Beams, and a Rearview Camera.

Despite being smaller than the Ford Bronco, the Bronco Sport still has plenty of cargo space. With the rear seats upright, the Bronco Sport features 32.5 cubic feet of room for gear and goodies. With the rear seats lowered, the cargo volume doubles to 65.2 cubic feet with space for two mountain bikes!
