The New 2021 Ford Bronco Gets Built Wild

The new 2021 Ford Bronco SUV family was finally revealed last month and opened up for reservations. While we'll have to wait another year to see these modern icons on the road, there is still plenty to get excited about.

If you haven't reserved yours yet, what are you waiting for? It's only $100, totally refundable, and you'll get your Bronco made to order. Simply go to www.hilltopford.com/2021-ford-bronco.htm for step-by-step instructions and choose Micheal Stead's Hilltop Ford as your local dealership.

Now on to the good stuff!

First off, the new Ford Bronco is completely customizable. With seven trims to choose from, two 4x4 systems, 11 paint colors, endless options and features, and more than 200 dealer-installable accessories, you can make the new Bronco the 4x4 SUV of your wildest dreams.

All versions of the new Bronco come with Ford's exclusive Go Over All Terrains (G.O.A.T.) Terrain Management System™ to maximize your off-roading performance. The seven available G.O.A.T. drive modes are Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery & Sand, Baja, Mud/Ruts and Rock Crawl. Choose the standard base Bronco, or level up with one of these exciting trims:

  • Big Bend: for mainstream off-roading
  • Black Diamond: for adventure off-roading
  • Outer Banks: high-tech off-roading in style
  • Badlands: for extreme off-roading
  • Wildtrak: made for high-speed off-roading
  • The First Edition trim has already 'sold out', reservations filled up as soon as they became available.

The new Ford Bronco is without a doubt head-turning, the design stemming from its original Bronco heritage, but impeccable styling is merely icing on the cake. Make no mistake, the new Ford Bronco is all about function and performance. The 2021 Bronco boasts a best-in-class ground clearance of up to 11.6 inches, a maximum 29-degree breaker angle and a 37.2-degree departure angle, not to mention best-in-class water fording abilities at 33.5 inches. This is helped by massive 35-inch tires, available on all trims, giving you an overall crawl ratio of 94.75:1. Choose a standard 2.3 liter EcoBoost engine with 270 hp and 310 lb.-ft. torque, or upgrade to the 2.7 liter EcoBoost with 310 hp and 400lb.-ft. of torque.

Of course, you'll want to feel protected when exploring way off the beaten track, and the new Ford Bronco delivers there as well. Its steel chassis, steel roll cage and independent front suspension give the driver added control and strength, keeping you, and all the internal mechanics protected no matter how far you push this 4x4. The new Bronco also offers the latest driver-assist technologies including the Trail Toolbox which includes Trail One Pedal drive for acceleration/braking control while rock crawling as well as Trail Control, like cruise control but at low speeds to assist trail driving; and Trail Turn Assist, which uses torque vectoring to tighten your turn radius when off-roading. Add this to the available Ford Co-Pilot360™, AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ and Trailer Sway Control and you'll be able to tackle nearly any obstacle, safely.

These days, we still like our conveniences, no matter how far off the grid we may wander. The new Ford Bronco offers frameless doors that are easier to remove than any of the competitors and, on four-door models, can store onboard with protective door bags. The roof is broken into panels which are easily removed by one person, so you can plan those solo treks. While a cloth top is standard, there is an available hardtop or dual hard and soft top option on higher trim levels. Plus, they've put the sportbar behind the second row, so you can get an unimpeded view of the sky wherever you stop to rest. Then, when you're ready to move on, cleanup has been made easier with marine-grade vinyl surfaces, rubberized floors with integrated drains and silicone touchpoints and switches.

When you do feel like connecting with others, the new Bronco makes that easy, too. Add the Ford exclusive 12-inch SYNC® 4 system with over-the-air updates to seamlessly integrate with the FordPass Performance app that allows you to easily plan, navigate, and share your off-road adventures. The Ford Bronco includes over 1,000 curated topographic trail maps with exclusive content from Trails Offroad, FunTreks trail guides and NeoTreks' AccuTerra® Maps. You'll also get handy spotter views from the 360-degree camera system to help you navigate tricky terrain.

While the 200+ factory-backed Bronco accessories have yet to be officially debuted, there is a "bring-your-own-device rack" that allows you to mount any sort of device onto your dash. So, once you've customized your Bronco to your heart's content, mount your GoPro or mobile device and easily record all of those epic adventures that surely await in your brand new 4x4 Ford Bronco.
