First-Ever Ford Expedition Timberline
The all-new 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline beats the Jeep® Wagoneer in ground clearance, elevating the Expedition 10.6 inches above the ground, compared to 10-inches for the Wagoneer. The Expedition Timberline also gets the Raptor treatment with a heavy-duty skid plate for underbody protection to give you more confidence when traversing rocky terrain. 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels assist in maximizing the Timberline's off-road capability. And with 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque, the new Ford Expedition Timberline boasts best-in-class power* with the high-output 3.5L EcoBoost® engine. Add the Heavy-Duty Tow Package to max out at 9,200 pounds towing capacity.
Exclusive to the new Timberline trim is new Trail Control™ technology. Trail Control™ technology is like cruise control that works with the Expedition's braking and throttle to help you navigate tricky off-road terrain. Class-exclusive Trail Turn Assist, rough road suspension, unique shocks, greater approach and departure angles, a wider stance, and a 2-speed transfer case for more control.
Inside the 2022 Ford Expedition Timberline, you will find unique interior colors, like Deep Tangerine stitching, ActiveX™ seats and Timberline badging. The exterior of the new Timberline trim features exclusive Active Orange accents, a unique grille, and a new Forged Green exterior color. With striking gloss-black exterior accents, red brake calipers, a sport-tuned suspension, red interior stitching and a 22-speaker Bang & Olufsen® sound system, you'll be cruising in style and comfort. Enjoy the same 3.5L EcoBoost® engine with 440-hp, 510 lb-ft of torque, but with 22-inch black aluminum wheels. The Stealth Edition package is available on the 2022 Ford Expedition Limited and Limited MAX.
Ford BlueCruise®
Available in the 2022 Ford Expedition Platinum model, the new Ford BlueCruise® is hands-free highway driving driver-assist technology. Compatible on select "Hands-Free Blue Zones," BlueCruise® allows you to take your hands off the wheel - but not your eyes off the road - while on certain sections of divided highways across America. A driver-facing camera keeps an eye on you to ensure the driver is paying attention. We are not yet at fully autonomous driving! Ford BlueCruise® builds upon current advanced driver-assist features, including Lane Centering, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Speed Sign Recognition.
