What's it like to be on top of the world? Ask the 2020 Ford Super Duty Pickup.

Since trucks can't talk, we'll tell you. The Ford Super Duty Pickup offers the best-in-class diesel towing, best-in-class diesel power and torque, best-in-class gas power and torque, and best-in-class payload. It's fair to say the Super Duty is where it's at. Let's take a look at this best-in-class leader and explore why it's a cut above the rest.

Best-in-Class Towing
This feather in the cap is more like three feathers. Because the 2020 Ford Super Duty Pickup provides not only best-in-class diesel gooseneck towing—at up to 37,000 pounds—it also provides:

  • Best-in-class maximum available diesel fifth-wheel towing of 32,500 pounds
  • Best-in-class maximum available diesel conventional towing of 24,200 pounds

To put these numbers into perspective, when properly configured, the 2020 F-450 can tow about 31 American quarter horses at 1,200 pounds. Don't know if you have 31 American quarter horses or why you'd ever need to tow 31 of them, but it's an impressive feat nonetheless.

And, its superior towing doesn't stop with the F-450. In fact, when compared to the outgoing model, the 2020 Ford Super Duty sees increased towing capacities across its series—F-250, F-350 and F-450.

High-Strength, Highly Efficient
After 19 million miles of testing, the Super Duty has proven itself more than capable. It can withstand and stare down harsh weather conditions, harsh driving conditions, and the harshest, heaviest workload.

The 2020 Super Duty includes a high-strength steel box frame, high-strength, military-grade, aluminum-alloy body, and integrated gooseneck hitch mounts. Plus, it includes an available all-new 7.3-liter gas V8 engine, an available third-generation 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel, and all-new 10-speed heavy-duty TorqShift® automatic. Regardless of which engine option it's paired to, this transmission produces efficient and improved driving, towing, and trailering confidence.

New Technology
To add even more towing and trailering confidence, the 2020 Ford Super Duty includes new class-exclusive available Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which makes maneuvering even the largest trailers into the tightest spaces easy as pie.

With this new technology, the driver uses a knob instead of the steering wheel to maneuver the trailer. This feature works in tandem with Trailer Reverse Guidance, which displays the trailer angle and direction in the Super Duty's reverse backup camera. It also provides steering suggestions to help the driver park safely and efficiently. And, Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Reverse Guidance technology accommodates all trailer types—conventional, fifth-wheel and gooseneck designs—an advantage that is unique to Ford.

Plus, 2020 Super Duty is the only heavy-duty pickup that makes connectivity a standard feature. Through FordPass Connect, Super Duty pickups include an embedded 4G LTE modem with Wi-Fi access that is good for up to 10 devices. This helps keep work crews connected and in communication while on the job. The 2020 Super Duty also includes wireless charging for compatible mobile phones and USB-C ports.

Standard Safety Features
It's a Super Duty and it's also super safe. Standard safety features on the Super Duty XLT trim and above include:

  • Lane-Keeping Alert
  • Blind Spot Information System with Trailer Coverage
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Class-exclusive second-row seat belt pretensioners
