Introducing: The Ford Mustang GT350 Heritage Edition

The Ford Mustang GT350 Heritage Edition

Aah, the Shelby. One of the most iconic American cars ever produced. The Shelby rose to race car legend fame when race car driver and engineer Ken Miles drove the 1965 Mustang Shelby GT350 at Texas' Green Valley Raceway and won. Now, over 50 years later, Ford is celebrating the iconic fastback coupe with a very special, limited edition 2020 Ford Mustang GT350 Heritage Edition. Let's take a look.

In a nod to the '65 competition model, the 2020 Ford Mustang GT350 Heritage Edition will be finished in none other than classic Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue side and over-the-top race stripes.

Additional throwback design nods to its legendary predecessor include front and rear exterior badges finished in Guardsman Blue and a unique dash badge inside. Plus, GT350R models will feature all-black seats with red accent stitching.

It was only last year that the Shelby GT350 underwent a series of upgrades, which will all carry over to the Heritage Edition. These upgrades include:

  • revised front chassis geometry for improved steering feel
  • revised antilock braking and MagneRide tuning for optimized aerodynamic components for improved ride, stability and handling for both road and track

Furthermore, the GT350R will receive a redesigned high-trail steering knuckle leveraged from the all-new 2020 Shelby GT500, and a new steering rack with recalibrated electric power steering control.

These very special Shelbys will start shipping out this spring. For information on how to order yours, call or stop by our Hilltop Ford dealership located in Richmond, California. Now's your time to drive an original icon, equipped with all the bells and whistles of the modern day.
