Review: The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E

So, Ford built an all-electric Mustang and it's ah-mazing. It's called the Mustang Mach-E and it's like a half-pony, half-SUV, all-electric Mustang. So, if you've been putting off your alt-fuel vehicle purchase because you've been waiting for an electrified version of a legendary pony car, then your patience has paid off.

The all-electric, all-new Mustang Mach-E won't arrive until late next year, but that doesn't mean we can't drool and dream today. Below's just a snapshot of what we have to look forward to, along with information on how to reserve your 2021 Mustang Mach-E.

The Electric Factor
When it hits the streets, the Mustang Mach-E will not only look good, it'll deliver the goods. Mach-E drivers will enjoy:

  • EPA-estimated target range of 300 all-electric miles with the extended range battery and rear wheel drive variant
  • Achieve mid 3-sec, 0 to 60 mph target in GT model with the extended range battery
  • 47mi in 10min estimated average DC charge with the extended range battery and rear wheel drive variant

The Mach-E comes with standard rear-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. Drivers also have the option of upgrading from the standard battery to an available extended range lithium-ion battery.

Personalized Technology
The Mach-E's technological approach is designed around you, specifically, you. Using your phone as a key, your Mach-E recognizes you as you approach and then automatically adjusts the seats the way you like them, and then adjusts the mirrors, and then the radio, and the lighting and the instrument panel—it'll adjust them all, until everything is just the way you like it.

Plus, you can select between three distinct Drive Experiences—Unbridled, Engage, and Whisper—to fit whatever mood you happen to be in. Drive Experiences alter the interior sound and the lighting.

Additional personalized technologies include cloud-connected navigation and a customizable cluster screen with premium 15.5-inch touchscreen and modem-based over-the-air updates.

Driving Safety
The 2021 Mustang Mach-E will come equipped with available Ford Co-Pilot 360 Technologies, including Active Park Assist 2.0 and 360-Degree Camera.

Roomy Inside
This five-seater SUV offers ample cabin space for front and back passengers, and includes a front storage trunk  that offers 4.8 cu. ft. of washable storage space.
